Believe it or not this is a traditional
instrument of Peru – and the inspiration for many other
modern instruments that make similar sounds. Completely
cleaned and boiled, the donkey teeth remain in the jaw and
rattle when the flat side bone is struck with the bottom of
a fist. Hold the jaw with your free hand at the skinny end
and pound out a beat with two or three beats per measure.
It’s fun and it’s a really cool gift for the musician
who has everything - but one of these. No animals are ever
killed for JAMTOWN instruments; they die of old age or are
taken for other purposes. 16”
