A Peruvian wood-on-wood instrument originally made out of church collection boxes, and played in Musica Criolla, a musical style created by enslaved African people who combined the music of Africa with the sounds of the Andes.
Strike the sides and top with the stick, and use your other hand to open and close the box top to create intricate rhythms. 5" L x 5" W x 5 1/2" H (8 1/2" with handle)
